With more than 75 years of experience in the development of safety-relevant communication technology in the fields of public address and operational telecommunications, we look back on an eventful and successful past.

Today Wenzel Elektronik is still appreciated as an innovative and reliable partner by customers all over the world. We develop and manufacture products, plan and integrate them into a complete solution and support with migration concepts, tests and acceptances.

60er/70er-Jahre

1950s

  • The family-run business values in-house production and in-house manufacture of all components
  • Development of electromechanical components and devices for voice communication
  • Production of small amplifiers, mountings for relays, remote controls, telecommunication devices and intercom systems
  • Intercom systems for offices, security systems for cash register, automatic wake-up systems as well as audio frequency and telecontrol systems

Post-war years

  • Start of the customer relationship with Deutsche Bundesbahn
  • Repair of loudspeakers on railway lines damaged by projectiles during the war
  • Repair of tires from faulty production of the tire factory Phoenix Hamburg and sale to local farmers

1946

  • Foundation of the company Wilhelm Wenzel Elektronik von Wilhelm Wenzel, located in Elmshorn
