System Call Stations

Wenzel Elektronik offers a portfolio of media converters and range extenders for different use cases. The guaranteed range of the LAN interface of 100 m can thus be extended to up to 15 km. Even greater distances can be achieved with single mode fiber optic media converters. Media converters convert from copper to fibre optics and allow the operation of network components without interference even if the connecting line has to be laid through an electromagnetically problematic section, e.g. along a high-voltage cable route on an industrial site. Some range extenders pass on their own PoE (Power over Ethernet) supply, e.g. from a PoE switch, to our PoE-enabled call stations via the long distance connection and the remotely powered counterpart. This eases the wiring considerably by simply connecting the components together.

VoIPv³ Network devices and system call stations can be integrated into any (also redundant) LAN topology via two redundant network connections. The switch built into most of our devices provides additional cost reduction. Connected in the LAN ring, this helps to save central switch ports and / or cable routes.
